A Pole’s Card: Who Is Eligible To Apply?
A Pole’s card is an official confirmation of your belonging to the Polish people. It opens the door to numerous opportunities in Poland. However, to obtain this document, you must meet certain requirements.

Language
Have a basic knowledge of Polish and consider it the language of their ancestors;
History
Know and respect Polish traditions, culture, and history
Written application
Submit a written declaration of their affiliation with the Polish people in the presence of a consul;
Officially confirmed Polish origin
They must have officially confirmed Polish origin under the Act on Repatriation of November 9, 2000, and demonstrate at least a basic level of Polish language.
Polish roots
Have documentary evidence of Polish origin – at least one of the parents, grandparents, or two great-grandparents must be of Polish nationality;
Outstanding contributions to the preservation of Polish culture
Or they can provide a certificate from a Polish or Polonium organization confirming active participation in the preservation of Polish culture and language for at least the last three years;
Documents
confirming that they or their ancestors were not repatriated from the territory of Poland under the agreements with the USSR in 1944-1957;
